Tracking Time by Jobs/Clients

I do accounting for small businesses and have to keep track of my time by client to bill them at the end of the month. I had a method of tracking my time using excel spreadsheets, but it still took me a long time to make sure I hadn’t overlooked any tasks I did before billing all of my clients. Using this app to track my time has freed up about 8 hours of my personal time each month…time I don’t have to spend figuring out my billing time is time I can now spend doing things I enjoy with friends and family. It took a little time to get it set up and learn how to use it, but now I recommend it to anyone who needs to track their time.

Best customer service ever

I have NEVER been more impressed with the customer service of any software I’ve used. 24/7 I can chat with a real person, they are all very knowledgeable and helpful. And their AI/chat bot is very advanced. Both always sending me links and snapshots to help answer any questions. We have a construction company and love this app for time clock, chats/communication, updates, site update photos and more.

Simply the BEST

I did extensive research—again and again—and kept running into the same issues: either the apps didn’t meet my needs, or the ones that came close were charging outrageous prices for a small company of just two people. That’s where Connecteam stands out. This app is truly incredible. It’s powerful, thoughtfully designed for small businesses, and best of all, it’s free. The features are not only comprehensive but also intuitive and accurate. As someone who consults and needs to submit weekly invoices, I used to dread tracking time manually in spreadsheets. Thanks to Connecteam, that’s a thing of the past. It gives me everything I was looking for—and more. Thank you, Connecteam. You truly ROCK!

Practically Perfect

I own a small AV Integration company and manage two full-time employees as well as several contract employees. I’ve looked at several apps - TimeCamp, Slack, etc for communication and time tracking. Connecteam does it all, MUCH better and at a better price. It did take a little time for me to get accustomed to the workflow, but I absolutely love this app!

Makes payroll a lot faster and easier

Love everything about it, I’ve been using this app for I think 3 years now and it’s pretty awesome. Only thing I wish it had is the totals for each employee at the end of the year for tax stuff. (They probably do have it I just don’t know how to do it yet)

Cleaner

The Connecteam app is very user friendly. I think it’s a great way for the company keep records straight. I like all of the options available for us to use. This is a must have to run a cleaning business. Thanks for making our job easier where we can review our timesheets etc. Thsnk you.

Great, but…

The app is simple to use, has lots of functionality, and was easily adopted by my team. Caution: I used the free version for 18 months because my employee headcount was below 10. I became very comfortable with the app and its functionality. I just paid almost $600 a year to upgrade because my team has grown. now I am finding that many of the features that I relied on when my team was small require additional subscription charges at different levels for multiple modules. this software is not a simple: use the platform for a small team for free, then upgrade incrementally as your team grows. Instead, you have to upgrade across multiple modules, each of which carries additional costs. It doesn’t feel good.

When updates really matter

Working in a healthcare setting where situations are constantly changing, relevant information is crucial. With the tap of a screen, access to that information is in my hand in seconds. Kudos for this app:)

Upsell Crazy

We were so excited to find Connecteam and everything it could do, and for free! Then in order to do something that we needed, we had to upgrade one part…then pretty soon to continue to use it we needed to upgrade something else…then again. I feel like the business plan was to get you and your employees imbedded in using it, then they hit you with the actual costs. Classic bait and switch, I guess. Just ended up being sad and frustrating. It’s a good product, it does a lot of great stuff, but don’t be fooled into thinking it’s free or cheap. They have switched things on us since we started, things that didn’t cost money to begin with now cost money…like $50-$100 per month.

Terrible Chat Nitifications

Lots of great features EXCEPT for chat. Despite having all the settings set to highest notifications and having the latest versions of app and IOS, we still don’t get them. No notifications on the lock screen. No notification staying at the top of our screens. No number on the app. Sometimes no number on the chats while IN the app. Yet there is new communication in the chats. So you all miss timely messages regularly! Since they aren’t too concerned to address it, I highly recommend you find another app for communication at a minimum. Also a problem they won’t fix is any image you crop and then post shows your original image and not the crop. Very frustrating!

Key Feature Disabled

I moved my organization to Connecteam specifically because of the breadcrumbs feature. We utilize the maps for both employee tracking and coverage documentation for our contract work. We are required to show our team coverage across the entire shift and day of work. This feature was the key reason we transferred. In the latest update, Connecteam attempted to streamline their breadcrumb feature and removed the overlapping employee map view. I understand the desire to de-clutter the map but I don’t understand the reason for eliminating the overlapping view for multiple employees completely. When I contacted customer support and explained how important the multi employee view was to my business, they just responded that the feature was eliminated and they would not be reverting. I cannot be alone in my use of the multi employee view. If this is a feature you use as well, I encourage you to voice your discontent as well.
