★★★★★Excellent Timekeeping/HR tool
Our previous time tracker was not California compliant, so that was our main issue. It was solved and then we had all the bonus assets What they like: We needed to have a timeclock for multiple employees who work at multiple locations, and we are in California, so there was a compliance piece as well. Connecteam hit all the buttons for us, and then also had added bonuses of time off tracking, forms, surveys...tons of extra HR products that just set it above the software we were currently using. Customer support has been great and the onboarding was easy. Our employees were used to the system same day. What they dislike: Honestly at this point, I haven't found anything.

★★★★★Connecteam Revolutionized Our Operations and Boosted Professionalism
Before using Connecteam, we managed almost everything through Google Sheets. While this worked at a very basic level, it quickly became clunky, time-consuming, and difficult to scale. Scheduling, tracking hours, and managing payroll were all manual processes, which left a lot of room for errors and inconsistencies. Over time, this also led to trust issues, particularly when pay disputes arose between us and employees due to unclear or inaccurate records.
Connecteam has completely centralised and professionalised these processes. Scheduling is now clear and transparent, time tracking is accurate and verifiable, and payroll is based on real data rather than estimates or invoices. This has removed ambiguity, reduced disputes, and rebuilt trust on both sides. Employees can clearly see their shifts and logged hours, and we have full confidence that payroll is accurate and fair.
Overall, Connecteam has replaced a fragmented, trust-based system with a structured, data-driven one. The result has been better efficiency, improved accountability, fewer disputes, and a much stronger working relationship between management and staff. What they like: Connecteam has been a game changer for our business. It has massively improved how we schedule our workers and completely streamlined our payroll process. The time clock feature alone has saved us a significant amount of money; we can now accurately track representatives’ exact hours and ensure shifts are worked in full. This solved a major issue we previously faced when staff were simply invoicing us for their time, which often led to early departures going unnoticed.
A large portion of our workforce is made up of students, and historically this role was quite informal, something they could pick up easily to earn a bit of extra cash. Since implementing Connecteam, however, the entire operation feels far more professional. The structure, visibility, and communication tools have helped our workers feel like they are part of a serious, well-run company rather than just a casual side job. This has had a really positive impact on engagement and accountability.
On top of the product itself, the Connecteam staff have been outstanding. Their support team, along with the AI assistant, made the transition incredibly smooth and stress-free. The onboarding process was clear, efficient, and well supported every step of the way. Overall, Connecteam has delivered real operational and financial benefits, and we couldn’t be happier with the platform. What they dislike: In terms of areas for improvement, we haven’t quite managed to get our reps fully engaged with the in-app group chats yet. They tend to be more responsive on WhatsApp, so we haven’t made as much use of the chat feature as we originally expected. It may simply be a change-management issue on our side rather than a limitation of the platform itself.
Another small improvement would be around payroll setup. It would be extremely helpful if workers could enter their bank details during the sign-up process and have these details automatically appear on the exported payroll PDF. Currently, adding bank details to payroll each month takes a bit of extra manual time.

G2 ★★★★★A Game-Changer for Small Businesses: Free, Easy Scheduling and Job Pay Tracking
It allows my employees to clock in and out while on the go. I can also see whether my employees have confirmed their shifts, so there are no more “I didn’t know I was scheduled” excuses. What they like: That it caters to small businesses. If you have under 10 personnel, you are able to use all services for free. This program was a game changer when we started. Our company and employees loved using this program. One of the easiest things is that you can manage schedules, and not only that, but you can also get a sense of how much you will need to pay your employee for each job they do. What they dislike: I disliked how expensive it became once we needed more than 10 employees. There wasn’t a way to pay for only what we needed to stay efficient, so now that we’ve gone above 10 employees, I have to find other avenues to offset what we used before. The monthly cost for a small company like ours isn’t feasible, and I’m really disappointed with how they chose to scale up.

G2 ★★★★★Intuitive Scheduling, Unbeatable Support
Connecteam saves me a lot of time with scheduling by showing everyone's availability in one space. It's user-friendly and offers 24/7 support, giving me peace of mind as a solo supervisor managing many students. What they like: I find Connecteam incredibly intuitive for scheduling, saving me a ton of time by easily showing everyone's availability and unavailability in one place. It's so user-friendly, and I really value the 24/7 support that gives me peace of mind knowing help is available for my team whenever needed. The onboarding team was super personable, especially James and Zak. I also have to mention how great the overall experience is with its easy-to-understand interface and unbeatable mobile readiness. Plus, the initial setup was seamless, and I've not heard any complaints from my team. What they dislike: This is more of a financial/processing improvement, but our university uses Workday as its HR/Finance hub for all things compensation, timekeeping, payroll, etc. so we'd love to see some integration with that platform down the line, similarly to how Connecteam connects with other payroll/HR platforms.

★★★★★Effortlessly Streamlined Scheduling for Event Planning
I find Connecteam makes scheduling a breeze, replacing my spreadsheet, and shows who can work. It makes it seamless for my team to know their shifts. What they like: I use Connecteam to schedule my team for my event planning business, and it makes it much easier for me to see who can work. It's seamless for my team to know when they are scheduled. I love the ability to keep shifts open for my team to bid on. With my event planning business, I can put the events in, indicate how many assistants I need, and it allows my team to look at the date and location of the event and bid on it if they're interested in working. The initial setup of Connecteam was very easy. What they dislike: There have been a couple of things that I couldn't easily find (and still haven't), but it doesn't outweigh the positives. Some team members aren't qualified to bid on some shifts, but I can't figure out how to filter that.

★★★★★Revolutionized Our Scheduling Process
I use Connecteam for scheduling dispatchers, tracking hours to ensure correct pay, handling day-off requests, and managing shift swaps. It prevents over-scheduling and helps employees plan around work. I love setting repeat options for year-long scheduling. What they like: I love that I can set a repeat option on the scheduling side, which helps make the schedule for the whole year. This feature is great because it allows employees to schedule things around their workdays. The time-off request feature is also helpful for viewing when employees need to be off and to find their replacements easily. I don't have any issues with the Connecteam app; I like all the features and haven't faced any problems so far. The initial setup was very easy and user-friendly, with tools and videos provided to explain each task and different ways to use the app. Now each employee can have their schedule in their hands at all times through the app provided, which has been very helpful for us. What they dislike: There is nothing that I dislike about this app.

★★★★★Outstanding Support That Makes a Difference
Glitch in an area of tasks , they solved this within a day or 2 and also offered discount for the month to compensate the loss of use on the task caused by the glitch . They were very good and helpful What they like: The support and customer service provided when needed are excellent. Like with any new app, it takes some time to get used to, the scheduling feature is brilliant. Our staff really enjoy using the app and chats, and it helps keep everyone organized in one place, so we no longer have to rely on texts, WhatsApp, or emails scattered everywhere. We plan to use the voucher section to offer rewards and incentives to our staff in 2026. Since our business is new and busy, we still have a lot to learn, and I think it will take a few months to fully understand everything the system can do, as it offers so many features. What they dislike: Little more pricier than other companies

G2 ★★★★★Everything Our Team Needs in One Platform
I have a team that works without direct supervision in remote locations. This app allows me to track their hours + locations, send them instructions for each job, and collect feedback at the end of each job. I like that I can provide training materials and updates to specific subsets of employees. And I appreciate that employees can communicate with myself and other coworkers directly in the app. What they like: Everything my team needs to succeed is in one platform. What they dislike: Sometimes the UI is a bit buggy. I also wish they were based in the US.

G2 Rated 4.5/5Efficient Scheduling with a Price Tag
Connecteam boosts efficiency and saves time with scheduling. What they like: I really like the 'news feed' feature in Connecteam, which stands out for me. I also appreciate the format of the schedule because it really helps in maintaining efficiency and saving time. Additionally, having an onboarding specialist who met with us and took us through a new step each week made the initial setup smooth and supportive. What they dislike: I find the price of Connecteam too high. We would like to use more of the options available, but the cost is a bit prohibitive.

★★★★★Effortless Team Management with Location Verification
A lot of my team works hourly and they are all remote. It’s hard to keep track of where everybody is at the same time so the location feature really helps. What they like: It is the most easy app for my team. My favorite feature is that they can clock in from anywhere and I can see that they are actually at the venue they’re supposed to be. What they dislike: There is nothing that I dislike about Connecteam.

★★★★★Best free software for small business
Needed a simple scheduling service for our part time staff. It helps employees see their schedules and request time off. What they like: The software is easy to use and not only employer friendly but employees friendly too. We used When I Work for years for scheduling and the prices kept going up. This is just a much better fit for our small business. What they dislike: Can’t think of anything that I don’t like or want to change.

Rated 3.5/5Great Mobile Tool for Field Teams, But Reporting Needs Improvement
The main problem Connecteam solves is the lack of communication and connection between our crews on the job and the office staff. What they like: the best part is how the app brings everything into one place and works perfectly on a mobile phone. At Winmar , technicians are always out at job sites, and Connecteam gives them one simple place to clock in, see their schedule, and fill out job forms. What they dislike: the Reports could be more advanced. It would be helpful to have better, more detailed ways to look at labor costs for each job, not just the basic timesheet reports.

Rated 3.5/5User-Friendly Setup, But Integration and Notifications Need Work
Solves a huge time waste of inputting employee work hours. What they like: Very easy to use. It was very easy to sign everyone up. What they dislike: It has been a constant pain to get it to talk to Quickbooks. If by chance you need 1 on 1 training to set things up its always next week for an appointment. The final one is all the damn notifications. between my phone and email just constantly notified and we have 15 employees

★★★★★Streamlines Scheduling but Needs Mobile App Improvements
Connecteam streamlines scheduling by preventing the need to text message everyone. I can post shifts, and my contractors can select them, which triples my sales in one year. I can also see if an artist double booked themselves. What they like: I like how Connecteam streamlines my business. When I get a job, I simply post the shift, and my artists can claim it without me needing to text message everyone. I find it easy-to-understand and appreciate that both I and my artists can use it through the mobile app. What they dislike: The mobile app is pretty glitchy and doesn't have all the same features as the web browser. For instance, I can't duplicate a shift on the mobile app, so setting up a shift is best to do on the web browser, which isn't necessarily convenient. There was a lot of learning curve and confusion around the icons and symbols used. It's very difficult to see if a shift was actually claimed or not, and if it was published. The initial setup was extremely challenging.

★★★★★Excellent for nonprofit organizations trying to be more professional and techy
Connecteam elimates the need for multiple platforms and apps. What they like: There are so many features to assist with HR and team management. The presentation and layout is great; team had no issues adjusting. What they dislike: While there is a free option, after 10 staff join, the cost is very high (to gain access to all features) for small organizations with limited budgets.

Rated 3.5/5Great for Tracking Employee Whereabouts, Though Pricier Than Alternatives

★★★★★The things that work are great
They are super slow to respond. Can only reach them through a chat. We have open tickets from over a year ago that they say they will try and edit features and still haven't. What they like: The scheduling is a nice feature. Although it is annoying that the shift recurring won't go indefinitely. So you have to pick how many times you want it to repeat and hope you catch when it expires before people are left with no shifts. What they dislike: They do not separate "holiday time and a half" from "Overtime time and a half". It is a pain with a company of over 200 employees to have to manually change this once hours are imported to payroll system every time we have a time and a half paid holiday.

G2 ★★★★★Easy to Use with Great Support, But Basic Plan Feels Too Limited
It makes it very easy to make a schedule and publish it to employees. It also allows all employee communication to be in one place. What they like: Its very easy to navigate and self teach. Help team is always quick and responsive, once you are connected with an actual person. What they dislike: I currently have the basic plan because we are a small business, but i feel like everytime i go to access a feature, it is limited to me and requires an upgrade, where as for other websites would have those basic features all inclusive.

★★★★★Connecteam is a user-friendly, all‑in‑one mobile-first platform that streamlines scheduling
Saves hours of administrative work, reduces scheduling errors, and ensures accurate payroll. What they like: Features like chat, updates, surveys, and a knowledge base keep teams connected and aligned. Especially handy for frontline or remote teams What they dislike: From my perspective, Connecteam’s interface can feel cluttered and unintuitive, key features are frequently locked behind add-ons, and sometimes the app runs slow or glitches—making what should streamline work feel frustrating

Rated 1.5/5Good Features Undermined by Aggressive Upselling and Pricing
It helps centralise operations, keeping staff communication, improves safety compliance, and provides document access in one place. What they like: The platform offers a wide range of features that are genuinely useful for managing a team — task assignments, communication tools, document storage, and more. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into the functionality, and on the surface, it ticks many boxes for businesses like ours. What they dislike: The constant upselling is exhausting. Many features are locked down unless you pay for additional upgrades, which makes the experience feel more like navigating a budget airline — everything is an extra. The pricing is steep, especially for small to medium-sized businesses. I also felt misled during the onboarding process; some functions I believed were included turned out to be part of higher-tier plans. On top of that, you're pushed into frequent Teams meetings that often feel more sales-oriented than supportive.

G2 Rated 2.5/5Lot's of useful tools, a la carte...
Reduces our tech stack. Keeps things simple What they like: It can consolidate a tech stack fairly well for communication, reports, updates, timeclocks, location tracking, onboarding, directories, etc. Simple onboarding and offboarding for high turnover fields. You can create 'Smart Groups' so when you add/remove someone it automatically adds/removes them from assigned chats/features/priveledges. What they dislike: Everything is a la carte. You want the cool features? Price is doubled. Chats are VERY slow to load, have to click on GIFs and videos to play them. One issue may be their servers or that all images/videos in a chat are at full resolution and not compressed. Consolidates messages with a "Click here to read more...". Chats are not suitable for a high paced environment such as sales where hype, speed, and momentum are necessary. We unfortunately have to look elsewhere to replace the Chat function.

★★★★★Not impressed
Currently, Connecteam is not better than our Sling, our previous scheduling platform. What they like: I’m not fully impressed with Connecteam. There are very few things that are as simple and intuitive as it should be. I do like the ease of creating new positions. What they dislike: I don’t like that there isn’t an easy way to mark a staff as a callout or a no show. I don’t like how the timesheet and schedule don’t actually communicate, ie the timesheet does not reflect what is on the schedule. I don’t like how I can’t assign how staff are needed per shift. There are many other pain points.

G2 ★★★★★Great Potential, But Locked Features and UX Issues Hold It Back
It ensures that all of our employees are staying up to date with upcoming events, policy changes, and more internal happenings. What they like: I like all of the capabilities that are possible with Connecteam What they dislike: Many of those capabilities are hidden behind the next "level" of subscription. There are also certain elements that could benefit from some bug fixes, but it doesn't seem that the team takes that feedback into account, and instead tries to offer workarounds instead of fixing the actual UX.

G2 ★★★★★Frequent Outages, Poor Support, and Missing Reporting—Too Buggy to Keep
It is streamlining our PTO process in terms of employee self-input. However, the reporting isn't there. It also solved the issue of lines waiting for the few clocks, and now people can just clock in on their phones. It made it where people can check their available PTO while at home. However, it doesn't calculate time off accruals correctly, so you'll constantly have to be adjusting it. What they like: I like the chat feature and the update feature. It's nice to be able to connect to my employees who are not computer-based, but still need to stay connected. What they dislike: Lack of reporting is very disappointing. Why can't I get an attendance report? The slide out interface for time off. The menu interface where to access time off full picture, takes two different menus (user and time off). The repeated outages. And mostly, the horrendous support. We are leaving it after 1 year due to the lack of so much functionality and bugs.
