Why teams look past Jibble

Jibble is well liked. Its 49 most recent invited Trustpilot reviews average 4.55, and G2 reviewers praise how easy the time clock is to set up and that it costs nothing. People leave when they need more than a time clock. We found no team chat, forms, training or document tools in Jibble, and its scheduling covers shifts and rosters with a planned-versus-actual view.

The complaints in our pull are about location accuracy, leave rules and what the free plan leaves out.

“I also noticed that I can't reduce the geofence radius below 300 meters, which makes this feature inaccurate for situations like this.”Tiffany Velasco, Trustpilot, Aug 2026
“We are on a biweekly pay schedule and Jibble only has ability to accrue on a monthly pay schedule.”Stephanie Branson, Trustpilot, Sep 2026
“Also, some good features are locked behind the ultimate edition.”Bhavik M., G2, Sep 2026

Jibble also took its pricing page down in 2026, so you can't see what the paid plans cost before you sign up.

The 5 best Jibble alternatives

  1. Connecteam

Time clock plus scheduling, chat and training

Connecteam keeps the parts people use Jibble for (GPS clock-in, geofences, NFC tags and a kiosk with PIN or selfie) and adds what Jibble lacks: team chat, open shifts and swaps, forms and checklists, courses and documents with e-sign. On review scores the two are close. The most recent Trustpilot reviews each company collected through a link it shares average 4.67 for Connecteam and 4.55 for Jibble, 49 reviews each, and Jibble rates higher on Capterra (4.8 against 4.6). Connecteam is free for up to 10 users, where Jibble's time tracking is free for any number. Geofencing needs Connecteam's Advanced plan ($49 a month billed yearly for the first 30 users), and its reviewers complain about features locked behind higher tiers.

  2. Homebase

Scheduling, time clock and payroll per location

Homebase combines scheduling, a time clock and team messaging, and runs its own full-service payroll ($49 a month plus $6 per paid employee after six free months), where Jibble only exports payroll-ready timesheets. It prices per location with unlimited employees ($24 a month billed annually for Essentials). Its free plan stops at one location and 10 employees, and location-based mobile clock-in starts on Essentials.

  3. Deputy

    Face-unlock kiosks with forecasting

Deputy's $5 Lite plan (per user, billed annually) covers scheduling, geofenced clock-in and messaging. Kiosk face-unlock and demand forecasting start on Core at $6.50. There is no free plan, monthly plans carry a $30 minimum spend, and its 20 unprompted Trustpilot reviews in our pull average 1.25.

  4. When I Work

    Scheduling first, time tracking added

When I Work starts at $2.50 per user a month for scheduling, and its time tracking add-on ($1.50 to $2 more) includes geofencing and photo capture at clock-in. It has team messaging, which Jibble lacks. It has no public free plan.

  5. Sling

Free scheduling for up to 30 users

Sling schedules up to 30 users for free, with messaging, and its $1.70 Premium plan (per user, billed annually) adds geofenced time tracking and auto clock-out. Its Android app is the weak point: the 100 newest Google Play reviews average 2.66, mostly for crashes and missed notifications.

When to stay with Jibble

Stay if a time clock is all you need. Jibble is free for unlimited users, and the free plan includes kiosk clock-in, GPS and facial recognition. It also tracks time against projects and clients, with billable hours and invoicing. For a crew of 50 that only clocks in and out, switching to any paid tool on this list costs money for features you won't use.

If you're running schedules in one tool, chat in another and paperwork on paper, Connecteam puts them in one app with the time clock, and it's free for up to 10 users. See the full Connecteam vs Jibble comparison and how Connecteam handles location tracking.

How we sourced this: on September 30, 2026 we pulled the 50 most recent Jibble reviews from Trustpilot and 50 from G2. Trustpilot labels each review by how it was collected; 49 of Jibble's came through its own review link and one was unprompted, too few to compare. Connecteam's figure comes from its 50 most recent Trustpilot reviews, pulled the same day, 49 of them collected through a link Connecteam shares. We don't compare G2 sample averages because the two samples were collected differently. Prices come from each vendor's own pages on the same date. Quotes are verbatim. See our methodology.
