Connecteam vs Jibble: a free time clock, or a full employee app
By Jean Luc Poitier, SEO and growth marketing strategist · Connecteam Reviews · Updated November 1, 2026
Jibble is a time and attendance tool with a free plan for unlimited users, and that plan includes GPS and facial recognition. If you mainly need to know who clocked in, where, and for how long, across a team of any size, and you want to pay nothing, pick Jibble. It also tracks time to projects and clients and turns it into invoices.
Connecteam is the broader app. It adds scheduling, team chat, forms and checklists, training courses, onboarding, and documents, and its prices are published. Its full free plan stops at 10 users, and reviewers say it gets expensive past that. Jibble removed its public pricing page in 2026, so any paid comparison needs a quote from Jibble first.

Jibble facts come from its homepage, feature pages, help center, and terms as of 2026-11-01. Trustpilot figures come from our pull of each company's most recent 50 reviews on 2026-11-01, split by how Trustpilot says each review was collected. Connecteam's link-collected reviews carry Trustpilot's “Unprompted” label, so we count them with invited reviews. Capterra figures read from each listing on 2026-11-01.
Free plans: unlimited users vs 10 users
Jibble's homepage leads with “FREE forever” and unlimited users, and its help center lists what that covers: clock in and out from web, mobile, desktop, kiosk, Slack, or Teams, GPS and facial recognition, leave and holiday management, payroll-ready timesheets, and integrations. No card is needed to sign up.
Connecteam's Small Business Plan is free for up to 10 users and covers all three hubs, so it includes scheduling, chat, forms, and courses, but no payroll integration. Its Limited plan is free for up to 30 users with the basics. For a large team that only needs a free time clock, Jibble covers more people. For a small team that wants one app for the whole shift, Connecteam's free plan does more.
“I can use geo location, and I am using it for over 50 users all for free.”Verified User in Construction, G2, Sep 2026
“I use the free version because I cannot afford the pricing.”Luxterra Eye Clinic, Trustpilot, Jul 2026
Paid pricing: only one side is public
Jibble removed its public pricing page after mid-June 2026. jibble.io/pricing now redirects to the homepage, and third-party sites list paid prices that disagree with each other, so we don't repeat any of them. If you need Jibble's paid features, get the current price inside the app before comparing.
Connecteam publishes its prices. The Operations Hub, which holds scheduling and the time clock, costs $29 a month on Basic, $49 on Advanced (adds geofencing for up to 10 sites), and $99 on Expert for up to 30 users, billed yearly. Each extra user adds $0.80, $2.50, or $4.20 a month by tier. The other two hubs are priced separately, and features held back for higher tiers are a common complaint in Connecteam's reviews. Time clock and location tracking
Jibble's time clock goes deeper on verification: facial recognition, photo on punch, QR and NFC clock-in, offline tracking, and geofences that can clock people in and out automatically. It also records time against projects, clients, and billable activities and can invoice from it. Connecteam has GPS stamps from Basic, NFC tags, a kiosk with PIN or selfie, geofencing from Advanced, and breadcrumbs while clocked in on Expert. We found no face recognition clock-in in Connecteam.
Location accuracy draws complaints on both sides. A Jibble reviewer says an employee who lives under 300 meters from the site often shows as working while at home. Connecteamemployees object to the 2026 requirement to allow “Always” location access to clock in; Connecteam says location is not stored while clocked out. Our location tracking explainer has the details.
“I was hoping to have geofencing together with live tracking so I could verify where my employees are during their scheduled work hours.”Tiffany Velasco, Trustpilot, Aug 2026
“There is no need to check my location when I’m not clocked in.”Collin156, App Store, Aug 2026
Beyond the time clock: chat, forms, and training
Jibble has work schedules and leave management, but we found no team chat, forms or checklists, training courses, onboarding, or document signing. Connecteam puts those in the same app as the time clock, with chat and unlimited forms on every plan. Leave rules differ too: one Jibble reviewer on a biweekly payroll could not accrue PTO the way they needed.
“We are on a biweekly pay schedule and Jibble only has ability to accrue on a monthly pay schedule.”Stephanie Branson, Trustpilot, Sep 2026
“Having multiple resources all in one app has been incredibly convenient, not just for our employees, but for our management team as well.”Alex Craig, TrustRadius, Jul 2026
Where Jibble wins

- More clock-in methods: Slack, Teams, desktop, QR codes, and offline tracking.
- A higher Capterra rating: 4.8 from 2,382 reviews, against Connecteam's 4.6 from 5,322.
